Nickel is a key ingredient for a variety of consumer goods as well as an important element in stainless steel. But as the global downturn has taken hold, the price of Nickel prices has fallen. It has lead to the world's biggest mining company, BHP Billiton, closing down one of its newest mines in Western Australia. Steven Evans has been to Hope Town a community built around that mine to see how it's being affected by the closure. The World Tonight with Ritula Shah on Radio 4.
