Global marketplaces: London

The BBC has been visiting markets around the world to find out how the global recession is hitting ordinary shoppers and traders.

Tracey Hobson runs the weekly car boot sale at Battersea in south London, one of the busiest in the capital.

Every Sunday first-timers and experienced traders alike park their cars in a school playground and sell everything from records to running shoes.
