A staircase which was used as an escape route by survivors of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre in New York has been taken back to ground zero.
Known as the survivor stairs the artefact was moved into position at the site of the former World Trade Centre where it will stand at the entrance of a new museum commemorating the 2001 attacks.
Joe Daniels, president of the National September 11th Memorial Museum said thousands of people had used the staircase as a way of escaping.
