Preparation as Ike approaches US

Residents in some counties of Texas have been ordered to leave their homes as Hurricane Ike approaches the United States.

The storm, which is expected to strengthen as it crosses the Gulf of Mexico, has already wrought havoc across parts of the Caribbean.
