Burma sings to citizens to vote

Burma's state-run TV station, MRTV, has shown pop artists singing to urge citizens to vote for an army-drafted constitution.

There was no mention of people struggling for survival since the cyclone hit.

The constitution is a key step in the junta's seven-point "roadmap to democracy", which is planned to culminate in multi-party elections in 2010.

It has been widely derided by Western governments as a blueprint for the military cementing its grip on power.
