New assisted suicide policy plan

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer, has said he will issue an interim policy on assisted suicide by the end of September before putting the issue out to public consultation.

Debbie Purdy, who has multiple sclerosis, has made legal history by winning her battle to have the law on assisted suicide clarified.
