Mannequin simulates medical problems

When you go into hospital you want to be sure the person looking after you knows exactly what they are doing if there is an emergency.

One of the best ways for them to learn and keep up their skills is through medical simulation, but it is still not a core part of training for doctors within the NHS in England or in Scotland.

That is despite the new generation of medical mannequins, which are considered sophisticated and realistic.

Dr Jonathan Smart from the company Laerdal, which has made medical simulators for 50 years, shows us the latest invention, Sim Man 3G.
