Mexico is in the midst of a five-day shutdown in an attempt to slow the spread of swine flu with all non-essential businesses ordered to close.

People have been encouraged to stay home and avoid large crowds.

Pedro Aparicio, a primary school teacher, is concerned for his four-year-old daughter and is staying home for the entire five days with his family.

The BBC's Stephen Gibbs has been speaking with Mr Aparicio at his home in Izdacalco, Mexico City.
