The World Health Organization has said there is no evidence to suggest an "imminent" move to the highest flu alert level, six.
The head of the WHO's Global Influenza Programme, Dr Keiji Fukuda, said the situation, "continues to evolve".
On Wednesday the WHO raised the alert over swine flu to level five - indicating human-to-human transmission in at least two countries.
