WHO says flu outbreak 'serious'

The World Health Organization has described the deadly flu outbreak in the US and Mexico as a "serious" situation.

The head of the WHO's Global Influenza Programme, Dr Keiji Fukuda, called for global communication and co-operation in order to learn more about and monitor the virus.
