| | A report has found one in four local NHS organisations in England is failing to comply with basic hygiene standards. The Healthcare Commission found 99 of 394 healthcare trusts admitted to failing to have adequate measures in place. Four trusts reported failing to meet any of the three core standards for hygiene: Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust Sheffield Primary Care Trust Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust Wiltshire Primary Care Trust Seventeen more trusts reported falling down in two out of three hygiene standards: Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Trust East Riding of Yorkshire Primary Care Trust Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Norfolk Primary Care Trust North Bristol NHS Trust North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust South Warwickshire General Hospitals NHS Trust South West Essex Primary Care Trust Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Wandsworth Primary Care Trust Westminster Primary Care Trust Whittington Hospital NHS Trust Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust
