A charity which offers financial and social advice to people living in Guernsey has lost 7,000 in funding. The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) normally receives a grant from the Constables' Committee, but that funding has been withdrawn.
A spokeswoman said the committee felt it was no longer appropriate for parish ratepayers to fund the CAB, which now receives money from the States.
CAB said it remained optimistic for the future, even if it had to trim costs.
The charity said it is currently working on several projects, including training one of its volunteer to represent islanders at employment tribunals.
