A decision over funding for the Prince's Trust to begin its work in Jersey will be made by the Council of Ministers on Thursday. The trust works with young adults across the UK and has helped 500,000 people develop skills and find jobs.
It celebrated its 30th birthday in May, but has only come to Jersey this year.
The Council of Ministers is being asked to approve annual funding of 122,000 to develop the trust's work with the Probation and Youth Services.
Much of the money will come from existing budgets and will be matched by donations from local companies.
Earlier this year a group of young people from Jersey went to Dartmoor in Devon to develop their outdoor and community skills.
