Jersey group joins youth pilgrims
Twenty-four young people from Jersey are travelling to Germany as part of a pilgrimage for World Youth Day.

The group, aged between 14 and 18, will be among more than 400,000 people from 120 countries.

Pope Benedict XVI and about 600 bishops and cardinals will join the young people in Cologne in August.

There will be an opening Mass in Cologne, Bonn, and Dusseldorf, then small groups will talk about faith and celebrate together across the country.

There will also be music, dance and performances at the festival for young Catholics that will last six days.
