Attempted break-in at island zoo
Police in Jersey say there was an attempted break-in at the gorilla house at the Gerald Durrell Wildlife Trust.

The trust said that as staff arrived for work on Friday morning they found two doors and a skylight had been damaged in the attempt.

The trust's head of mammals, Richard Johnstone-Scott, said the intruders did not get in and none of the gorillas were harmed.

Officers from the island's police force are appealing for witnesses.
