New faces for island government
Stuart Syvret
Senator Stuart Syvret topped the island's poll
Jersey islanders have elected three newcomers as Senators.

Freddie Cohen, Ben Shenton and Jim Perchard each won an island-wide mandate.

Senator Stuart Syvret was re-elected, topping the poll with 15,131 votes, more than 1,000 ahead of his nearest competitor, Mr Shenton.

Senator Terry Le Sueur was also successful in his re-election bid. Deputy Terry Le Main returns to the Senatorial benches.

Sitting Senator Paul Le Claire lost his seat.

Fifteen candidates stood in the election. The six who were successful will have a six-year term of office.

The turnout in St Helier was 30.88%.
