Free phone calls to disaster area

The service will run until 28 January
People in Jersey who have relatives in parts of Asia affected by the earthquake disaster will be able to phone them for free.

Jersey Telecom has announced it is offering the free calls as part of the Jersey Asia Relief appeal.

Islanders who want to use the service will have to register but can then call their families from their landline or pay monthly mobile for free.

People will be able to use the service until 28 January.
