Hundreds of people attended a special service in Jersey to mark Sea Sunday. The quayside event at Greve de Lecq was attended by Jersey's harbour master, the RNLI, Channel Island Air Search and the Fire and Rescue Service.
Holy water wassprinkled on boats and prayers were said for all travellers and people who work at sea.
Organisers faced a temporary hitch when they found tables and chairs from the two cafes at Greve de Lecq thrown over the sea wall on to the beach.
The service was led by the Reverend John Harkin from St Ouen Church.
