Jersey's Whippet Racing Club held the first meet of the season at a new venue. It follows months of uncertainty about the future of whippet racing in Jersey.
Jersey Pedigree Whippet Racing Club's regular venue at La Minotterie field St John became unavailable at the end of last season.
The first race of the season was held at Le Clos de Haut at La Moye in St Brelade.
Meets have also been secured at the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society.
Other races were held at Les Landes in St Ouen and, if the club gets the go-ahead, work will soon begin to build a whippet race track inside the main horse track.
