Man aims to protect sand work
The man behind the sand sculpture on Jersey's Waterfront is taking direct action to deter thieves and vandals from attacking his work.

Simon Smith has started sleeping next to his work after money was taken from the collection bucket inside the sealed site over the weekend.

Vandals also damaged part of his latest creation before it was finished.

Mr Smith, who exhibits his work around the world, says he has not encountered the same problem in any other place.
