Black butter ice cream tops range
Jersey Dairy is to market black butter ice cream, a twist on the traditional Jersey recipe.

It is one of the new lines from the dairy, which is trying to use more milk from farmers while making its range more popular for islanders.

The Jersey Dairy is also introducing a new range of three luxury ice creams to be marketed as "wickedly tempting".

Its new cheddar cheese will be made in Guernsey because it is too expensive to make in Jersey.

Black butter ingredients
Cider
Sweet apples
Sugar
Liquorice sticks
Lemons
Allspice
A natural low-fat yogurt, and a range of yogurts containing extra cream will also be on sale from this weekend.

Black butter is a traditional Jersey preserve made in huge quantities, usually during the month of November
