Winds cause more ferry problems

Some passengers were transferred to Heysham sailings

High winds and rain have affected ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and Liverpool for a second day.

The Sunday morning Douglas to Liverpool Steam Packet service and its return journey at 1115 BST were cancelled due to strong winds in the Irish Sea.

The 1500 sailing left as normal and the return was also due to depart on time.

Saturday services were also affected. Passengers who had been due to sail to Liverpool were transferred to the Heysham crossings.
