Boy, 14, issued with first Asbo
A 14-year-old boy has been issued with an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo) over offences of causing damage to vehicles in Isle of Man.

A spokesman for the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team said it was the first time one had been issued in the area.

The teenager had been involved in incidents in Pulrose where mud and stones had been thrown at vehicles.

Sergeant Steve Goldsmith said the Asbo was used as a last resort.

"Sometimes we can be dealing with juveniles who have never had it brought to their attention that what they're doing is wrong", Sgt Steve Goldsmith said.

"The effect of putting that down on paper and getting them and their parents to sign up to it, it's a wake up call to them.

"They change their behaviour and don't go on to commit further offences."
