Manx police test mini head camera
Manx police say they have been pleased with the miniature head mounted cameras they have been testing over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Cylon Headcam was used on a number of occasions in the Douglas area and police believe it has moderated the behaviour of people.

Officers are studying the camera footage to assess the potential value of such material.

The headcam will be trialled by the police until the middle of February.

Braddan commissioners are also trialling the headcams with their community wardens.

Douglas Corporation is interested in using the technology, but is waiting for the results of the police trial before making any decisions.
