Officers arrested 10 people and confiscated alcohol from a number of youths during the annual Isle Of Man Laxey Blues Festival. The Isle of Man Constabulary said the two-day event passed off peacefully despite the small number of isolated public order incidents.
Tickets sold out in record time for the 2006 festival, based at Pavilion Ballroom, Laxey Glen Gardens.
Insp Sid Caine said ticket holders had enjoyed a "real party atmosphere".
Gangs of youths
He said 10 people were arrested for drink-related and public order offences.
"It is a real shame that a very small minority seem bent on spoiling the enjoyment of others by their anti-social behaviour," he said.
Mr Caine said alcohol had been confiscated from youths, some as young as 13, roaming the village in groups of up to 70.
