Island to get new dental surgery
Dentist
One dentist will initially practice at the surgery
An additional NHS dental surgery is to be built on the Isle of Man, the government has announced.

The Department of Health and Social Security says it wants to improve access to NHS dental services in the west of the island.

It is expected that the surgery, at Close Beg, on Ballawattleworth Estate in Peel, will open in July or August of this year.

One dentist will practise at the clinic, but expansion is possible.

Steve Rodan, Minister for Health and Social Security, said: "The provision of high quality NHS dental care throughout the island is of utmost importance and is central to our wider commitment to the health care needs of everyone living in the Isle of Man."
