Ferry services were badly disrupted by the storms |
Passenger services on the Isle of Man Steam Packet were returning to normal on Wednesday after a night of heavy storms forced cancellations. The company's ferry to Belfast and the Seacat to Liverpool were both affected by force eight gales in the Irish Sea.
Return services from the mainland were also cancelled because of the safety fears, the company said.
"Fortunately it is a rare occurrence and there no problems today," a spokesman told BBC News.
