Cruise ship sets sail from island
Port of Douglas
About 700 passengers spent the day exploring the island
Passengers and crew on a cruise ship have left the Isle of Man after spending a day moored at Douglas Bay.

The MS Prinsendam, carrying 700 passengers and 400 crew, was due to anchor up on Tuesday morning.

After a day exploring the island, passengers reboarded the ship and left at about 1700 BST.

The MS Seabourne Pride is due to sail into the port on Saturday during a 21-day cruise, which started in London and finishes in New York.

David Cretney, Isle of Man tourism minister, said the stops were "a reflection of the island's desirability as a cruise destination".

Both ship captains will be presented with plaques to mark their inaugural visits to the island and tourism staff will hand out information to passengers.
