TT races' policing row breaks out
TT race
More than 200 people have lost their lives during the TT races
A row has broken out between the Isle of Man police and the Tourism Department over policing of the TT motorbike races.

The police do not want to stand by the course any more because they said it was too dangerous.

The Tourism Department has now threatened to cut police funding.

More than 200 people have died since the race began in 1907. Four people died during this year's race, including a race marshal for the first time.

April Bolster, of Kirk Michael, was killed when competitor Gus Scott - who was also killed - ploughed into her on his bike.

Discussions are expected in the near future.
