Island's milk group chief dies

The president of Guernsey's Milk Retailers Association has died while fishing on the island's west coast, it has been announced.

Jason Piriou, who was 37, was fishing near the Rocques Poisson at L'Eree when he is thought to have collapsed at about 1420 GMT on Saturday.

He was treated at the scene by a paramedic who had to walk 300m over wet rocks to reach him.

But he was pronounced dead at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital later.
