Meeting to explain budget plans
A meeting is being held in Guernsey to to explain how the island's 2008 budget will affect individuals, families and businesses in the island.

The cost of cigarettes, alcohol and fuel is set to rise with personal allowances frozen for the third year in a row.

Islanders are being offered the chance to ask the Treasury and Resources Department about States' finances.

The meeting takes place in the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils at 1900 GMT.
