Man sought after robbery at store
Police are anxious to trace a man seen in the area of a third armed robbery in Guernsey in a month.

A man threatened a shopkeeper with a knife at the Candie Cache Stores in St Peter Port on Friday evening before making off with a quantity of cash.

At about 1910 GMT that night, a man was seen walking down Candie Road and moved aside to give way to a woman walking up the street.

He is described as in his early 20s, 6ft tall and of medium build.

Masked men

Two people arrested in connection with the incident were released without charge on Sunday.

Police are continuing to carry out door-to-door inquiries in the area near the Candie Cache Store.

Another robbery took place in Union Street in St Peter Port last Tuesday afternoon when a quantity of money was stolen.

There was also a robbery at the beginning of the month when two masked men threatened a shop assistant at Contree Mansell Stores and got away with 2,000.

Police acknowledge the recent spate of robberies may be connected but say they are keeping an open mind.
