Tidal power decision is welcomed
The decision to pursue tidal power has been welcomed by the president of the States of Alderney.

Sir Norman Browse, who also chairs the tidal energy panel, says he is delighted, but warns it is just the start of a long journey.

The States voted in favour of making tidal power a priority on Friday, despite not knowing how much money it could raise for the island.

Legislative framework will be drawn up for the future industry's regulation.
