Service provides boost for island
Rockhopper
The flights operate between Alderney and Brighton
The newest Channel Island air link is proving a success as Alderney Week gets under way.

The new route between Shoreham and the Bailiwick's most northern isle is enabling more people to attend the annual event.

One group of artists from Brighton exhibiting this week hope now to make regular visits to the island.

Artist Claire Evans says Alderney is fast becoming a haven for artists and people from Brighton.

'Incredibly easy'

She has organised an Open House Exhibition in an Alderney home in Auderville.

She said: "It has made it incredibly easy to get here we are very grateful they have opened up this link

"It will hopefully mean all of us from Brighton will be here more regularly."

Alderney Week continues until 8 August.

Rockhopper is currently operating one flight to and from Brighton six days a week.
