Actors to stage battery capture
People living in Guernsey who did not live through the occupation will be offered the chance on Sunday to see what life was like in 1940.

A re-enactment is being staged on the Pleinmont Headland by actors to demonstrate how the Germans captured the battery of ex-French cannons.

They are being fired on the hour, from 1400 BST until 1700 on the headland.

General-Oberst Dave von Mallendent said it should prove to be an educational experience.
