| People living in Guernsey who did not live through the occupation will be offered the chance on Sunday to see what life was like in 1940. A re-enactment is being staged on the Pleinmont Headland by actors to demonstrate how the Germans captured the battery of ex-French cannons. They are being fired on the hour, from 1400 BST until 1700 on the headland. General-Oberst Dave von Mallendent said it should prove to be an educational experience.
