Plutonium campaigners concerned
Environmental campaigners are voicing their concern that shipments of plutonium are about to restart near Guernsey's north coast.

Next month, weapons grade material will be shipped from Charleston in the USA to Cherbourg, France.

Once in Cherbourg, the material will be processed into nuclear fuel.

The armed British Nuclear Fuels Limited ships carrying the plutonium, Pacific Pintail and Pacific Teal, will pass within 50km (30 miles) of Guernsey.

Greenpeace campaigner, Phillippe Marechal, says plutonium is the most dangerous material known to man.
