Teenager killed in crash named
Investigations are continuing into a car crash in Guernsey in which a teenager died.

Daniel Machon, 17, was killed and four people were seriously injured in the three-car accident on the main road between St Peter Port and the island's airport.

It happened just after midnight on Saturday and police closed part of Forest Road while they carried out work at the scene.

Firefighters and paramedics spent more than two hours freeing people from the wreckage.

Multiple fractures

Two teenagers were treated for serious leg injures, a 21-year-old man suffered multiple fractures and a 20-year-old man was treated for facial and spinal injuries.

Five ambulances were needed to ferry the casualties to Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

Staff have described the condition of all the injured as "stable".

Two other people escaped uninjured from the crash.
