| Saturday, 5 August, 2000, 13:55 GMT 14:55 UK Two Russians killed in Belarus Police in Belarus say two prominent Russians have been killed, including the head of a nationalist Russian group. The leader of the Russian National Unity organisation, Gleb Samoylov, was found stabbed to death in his apartment in the capital, Minsk. In the city of Gomel, the body of the director of a major glass factory in Belarus, Vladimir Zapolsky, was also found in his apartment. Police say he was shot three times in the head.
