Violence has erupted in the Greek capital Athens as thousands of people took to the streets in protest at proposed austerity measures.
Clashes between demonstrators and police happened during a general strike which has paralysed the country.
Bricks, rocks, broken bits of marble and even petrol bombs were used as missiles against the police.
Some protesters tried to storm parliament but riot police drove them back.
Pepper spray, tear gas and stun grenades were fired at the crowd as they surged towards the parliament building.
