The United Nations' World Meteorological Organisation said a low pressure weather system moving into Iceland should help clear the volcanic ash cloud that has disrupted flights across Europe "within days".
Dr. Herbert Puempel told a news conference that, assuming there is no massive volcanic activity in the area, "all the indicators are very, very positive" that it will clear.
