Thousands gather outside presidential palace in Poland

Thousands of people have gathered in Warsaw to mourn the loss of the country's president, Lech Kaczynski, along with scores of others in a plane crash.

After an emergency meeting of ministers, a week of national mourning was declared, with two minutes of silence on Sunday.

As night fell, candles were lit outside the presidential palace as crowds softly sung the country's national anthem.
