Brown pays tribute to Polish President Kaczynski

Gordon Brown has sent his condolences following the death of Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and scores of others in a plane crash in Russia.

The British prime minister said "the whole world will be saddened" by the news that more than 80 people aboard the plane perished.

Poland's army chief, central bank governor, MPs and leading historians were among those killed.
