Swiss vote to 'ban' minarets

Swiss voters go to the polls on Sunday, deciding on a proposal which would ban the building of minarets.

It's backed by Switzerland's most popular political party, the right wing Swiss People's Party, which claims allowing minarets would be a step towards Islamisation.

With 400,000 Muslims in Switzerland - Islam is the country's second religion. But until now, mosques with minarets have been few and far between.
