The governing centre-right Civic Platform party has taken 31 of Poland's 50 seats in the European Parliament.
The result could be a blow for the UK's Conservatives, who were hoping to form a new group within the parliament with Poland's Law and Justice (UEN) party, who secured only 12 seats.
Foreign minister Radek Sikorski spoke to the BBC's Allan Little about the results.
