1989: Gorbachev visits Berlin

Twenty years have passed since the momentous events of 1989 which changed the course of history.

In October of that year President Gorbachev visited Berlin for East Germany's 40th anniversary celebrations.

The BBC's Brian Hanrahan was there to cover the story - and this is his report from the time.
