Miliband gives support to Georgia

Foreign Secretary David Miliband has met Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili to talk about the ongoing conflict with Russia.

Mr Miliband voiced his support for the Georgian president and his people, and commented on Russia's "continuing refusal" to live up to its commitment to withdraw forces.

The Georgian president said that Georgians would continue to resist the Russian occupation, and that they would not be brought "to their knees".
