Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic assumed the name of a market gardener pensioner as he tried to evade capture from international justice for 13 years.

Mr Karadzic, who spent years living in Belgrade and practising alternative medicine under the stolen identity, has been arrested for alleged war crimes during the Bosnia-Hercegovina conflict of 1992-1995.

Christian Fraser reports from Belgrade.
