The BBC's Kate Adie reported on daily life in Sarajevo during the siege in which thousands of civilians were killed between 1992 and 1995.
The UN representative in Sarajevo at the time, Fred Eckhard, described their frustration at having been unable to protect those killed and injured in a busy marketplace.
