Poppy appeal 'most important yet' | | Guernsey British Legion says the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq make this year's Poppy appeal more important than ever before. The appeal raises money to help support ex-servicemen and women and their families. Brigadier Barry Cash is urging islanders to be generous. In Jersey a service to dedicate the Field of Remembrance at the Cenotaph was led by the Dean, the Very Reverend Bob Key.
