| Friday, October 29, 1999 Published at 16:11 GMT 17:11 UK World: Europe New Albanian PM A new coalition government has been announced in Albania, led by the Socialist, Ilir Meta, who at thirty becomes the youngest prime minister in Europe. Many of the key ministers from the outgoing government, including those of defence and interior and foreign affairs, have been reappointed. The previous prime minister, Pandeli Majko, resigned after he lost a vote for the leadership of the governing Socialists. Mr Meta said he would continue Mr Majko's work to restore public order after years of political turmoil in Albania.
